North Rackheath Norwich

We have progressed the development of this site which extends to 375 hectares (926 acres). We are currently working alongside Taylor Wimpey who are preparing a planning application to deliver 3,000 new homes, 25 hectares (62 acres) of employment, schools, doctor’s surgery, retail and other facilities. The design is a landscape-led approach with open space incorporated in the masterplan.

Rackheath, to the north east of Norwich, was selected by the Government as one of four preferred sites in the UK suitable for development as an eco-town. Building Partnerships promoted the development as a sustainable community and has continued to promote deliverable development of the site over many years.

Work on Rackheath is continuing with the masterplan refreshed in 2019. It is anticipated that homes will be available from 2024 within the first phase of the development with planning applications being submitted from March 2022 onwards.
