Dragon Hall Norwich
In 2015 Writers’ Centre Norwich moved in the 15th century Grade 1 Listed medieval trading hall. Working with the client team, we provided project management and specialist advice, leading the professional team of designers and consultants. Work has now been completed (scroll down to see time lapse video) and the opening of the National Centre for Writing was held on 18th June 2018.
The new south wing provides a new visitor entrance and high-tech education space for young people and school groups on the ground floor, with office space above, whilst the refurbished north wing provides community space for creativity. Improvements to the Great Hall has created a 120-seat multipurpose cultural venue and the refurbished cottage is now a residence for writers and translators visiting from the UK and around the world.
